RESPONSIBILITY: our ability to respond consciously to the present. Response-ability is Power. We are the most powerful technology that has ever existed: to solve problems, to imagine and create, to connect and collaborate. We have the capacity to create the world we want. To heal and optimise ourselves, our communities and our environment.
INTELLIGENCE: our combined knowledge and ability to communicate and apply ourselves to a problem or challenge. Rational, intuitive, experiential, emotional and traditional wisdom to tackle intersectional challenges and innovate in our lives.
DISCIPLINE: Our laboratory playground approach curates experiences designed with multiple disciplines, philosophies and techniques. Discipline is also the manner in which we apply and organise ourselves. Both are guided by honesty and integrity.
IMAGINATION: the operating energy of our inner world. What we are able to imagine and the extent to which we do so determines what and how we can create. Nourishing imagination and our ability to communicate and collaborate gives our work and action energy and power.
EMPATHY: our tools and technologies are applied to increase our perception and connection with each other and our world. We are respectful and aware because we no longer see ourselves as separate, but part of the other.
ART: skill as a result of learning or practice. Any learning or practice can be raised to an art form.
STRENGTH & FITNESS: Physical. Emotional. Mental. Intellectual. We value them all.
CREATIVITY: we are to social innovation what Bruce Lee is to the martial arts! We practice and combine what knowledge and intelligence there is to develop a wider vocabulary and more deeply embodied understanding, resulting in the ability to improvise and innovate as required. Arts are a vital source of intelligence in our University, transforming knowledge creatively from a noun to a verb.
SOCIAL TECHNOLOGIES: techniques and practices, games and exercises that develop human perception, performance and interaction from various traditions, disciplines and fields of expertise. Used individually and in combination to create a variety of experiences or conditions within a group or an individual. The technologies we use relate to: Fun, Freedom & Trust. Empathy. Creativity. Intuition. Relaxation. Awareness and Focus (interior and exterior). Sensitivity and Sensibility. Investigation & Interrogation. Expression & Storytelling. Nutrition of body, mind and spirit. Reflection. Transformation.
